Q: How does the Doctor of Chiropractic help?

A: Through what is known as an adjustment, the Doctor of Chiropractic helps correct V.S.C.(Vertebral Subluxation Complex). Through this process, interference to your nervous system is corrected. Consequently, your body functions properly and as a result you heal safely and naturally.

Q: What is an adjustment?

A: An adjustment is a specific force applied in a specific direction to correct V.S.C.

Q: What is V.S.C. (Vertebral Subluxation Complex)?

A: Your brain tells everything in your body how to function through your nervous system. Your skull houses your brain and your spine houses your spinal cord. Your spine consists of bones called vertebrae. Branching off your spinal cord between these vertebrae are nerves that carry important information allowing your body to function properly. When a vertebra becomes misaligned, interference to the nervous system occurs causing dysfunction within your body. This condition is know as Vertebral Subluxation Complex.

Q: What caused V.S.C. to happen to me?

A: V.S.C happens most of the time through, what I like to refer to as, the bumps and bangs of living life. Through occurrences of things like slips and falls, sports or recreational activities, lifting heavy objects, getting our bodies in funny awkward positions, automobile accidents, or work related injuries, the supportive structure to your spine is overcome thus causing vertebrae to misalign.

Q: Is chiropractic care for all ages including children and seniors?

A: Most emphatically yes. Chiropractic care is for all ages. Not matter what your age if you suffer from V.S.C. detection and correction of it through chiropractic care will allow for a much better, healthier, and functional life.

Q: Can I exercise while under chiropractic care?

A: While exercise is recommended, there are certain exercises that need to be determined due to your situation. This is why we would need to discuss this during a treatment.
